Akha, Lolo, Punoi, and more
In the moutains of northern Laos, between China and Myanmar, Muang Sing is one of Asia's most ethnically diverse regions. This book features children from six ethnic minorities: Akha, Haw, Lolo, Tai Nua, Laopan, and Punoi.
Page by page, they tell about their lives: Gathering food, playing games, hauling firewood, and caring for younger siblings.
Ethnic children often have difficulty when they enter school. This book provides a link between the Lao culture and language of the school, and the ethnic cultures of their homes and villages.
