Spinning tops, and more
Three girls play a hopscotch-style game. Two boys walk on stilts. Another girl walks on clogs made from coconut half-shells. One boy pushes another in a home-made racecar.
Children everywhere like to have fun. Over many centuries, these toys and games have evolved in Lao villages. Children will enjoy seeing names and pictures of some favorite toys, and will get ideas for new ones to make. Very simple captions provide reading practice for young children.
