African folk tales
Every culture has its traditional, mischievous folk hero. In many parts of Africa, that folk hero is Anansi, the spider.
Our earliest books included two collections of traditional Lao tales, and we'll publish many more stories from Laos. We also expect to publish stories from many other cultures. We chose to begin with these Anansi stories because they reflect a society facing many of the same concerns as Laos.
